Engineering CAPEX Project Manager

Your next role ?

As a Project Manager, you will report directly to our Project Team Manager and you will join our team in Vernier. You will lead the implementation of multi discipline projects on site from justification and technical design to successful implementation and commissioning. You will be responsible for all design aspects related to electricity, instrumentation and automation processes with the support of other team members in the department.

In this exciting role you will :

  • Manage requests for the study and implementation of projects at Vernier site in the following areas : Ingredients production, Compounding production, Logistics, Utilities Production & Distribution, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Laboratory Facilities, Building Technology ;
  • Develop project scopes, cost estimations, credit applications and specifications ;
  • Monitor compliance with design and construction parameters, respecting all norms and EHS regulations ;
  • Monitor project execution parameters, including timing, detailed cost estimate, list of deliverables and implement corrective actions whenever necessary ;
  • Co-lead tender process with suppliers and contractors ;
  • Follow-up project Indicators and lead steering committees ;
  • Support project team in the project execution ;
  • Conduct hazard studies, risk assessments and process optimization ;
  • Manage contractors on site ;
  • Report project status and budgetary control for approved projects ;
  • Produce all required design documents ;
  • Implement project plans within approved budget.

Your success profile includes :

  • Bachelor's degree (ETS) or higher (EPF) in Engineering or related discipline and IPMA or PMI Certification ;
  • 8 or more years of experience in factory engineering/maintenance, including management of multi- country/multiple process engineering projects involving resources from diverse disciplines ;
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and multidiscipline specialists (internal and external) ;
  • Good technical skills in chemical industry or equivalent ;
  • Good command in project management, using TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools ;
  • Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP) ;
  • Fluent in French and English, German is an asset ;
  • Excellent analytical, methodical and organized mindset ;
  • Communication skills ;
  • Customer focus with the sense of productions urgency ;
  • Autonomous and team spirit ;
  • Challenge with a continuous improvement behavior ;
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards change ;
